Ze werd ook wel Koggenmolen genoemd: een samentrekking van kogge, een type zeilschip, en draaimolen .

Begin 2021 verdwijnt Polka Marina van het plein en wordt de plek bestraat. Tijdens de 2 minuten durende rit maken de koggen een golvende beweging.
